    So impressed!

I really love this sleep system. I recently took it out with me on a work assignment and it worked so well. The sleeping bags we get issued always make me feel so claustrophobic and when I use a sleeping bag liner I get all tangled and everything moves all over and I slide off my sleeping pad. Zenbivy solved all of this for me. I had such a good sleep, and in my line of work, that is so important. It took up the same space as my old sleeping bag. My only worry on wear and tear is the straps and fabric that the keeps the sheet and system onto the sleeping pad. If it rains and my tent gets wet underneath it can soak into the sheet and when stored it will make the rest if the bag wet. And I think over time the strap and sheet portion underneath the pad will start to wear. Maybe if the fabric that goes under the pad was made of something sturdier and waterproof I would feel better about it. I've got a homemade footprint that I can lay out in my tent under the sleeping pad and bag so hopefully that can help avoid any dampness getting into the bag or sheet. Other than this, the system does well. I wasn't cold, I wasn't tangled, and I was very comfortable.

Glad I bought this sleeping system

In my opinion, this is a well thought out, well-made sleeping sytem, with high quality materials and wormanship. A good concept, that has been well made.

I have the original Zenbivy that I bought when it first released and it has never kept me warm. I gave it another chance this past summer. I had to wake up and put warm clothes on because it was 58 and I was cold. It has never lofted properly and when measured only lofts a half inch. I suspect this to be the problem. A lot of money wasted for a supposed 23 degree bag.

Hi Ed, Sorry to hear this! What mattress (R-value) are you using with your 2018 Zenbivy Bed 23°? Please note that bags need to be paired with an R5 mattress to perform to their EN rating as that's what they are tested with. I'm also wondering if maybe your 2018 bag was underfilled... At 58° you should not have been cold, even with a lower R-value mat. You can weigh the quilt and sheet together and then let us know. Email friends@zenbivy.com. We'll get you taken care of! Thanks so much, Kylie

    So warm

My Search and Rescue team went to Truckee to look for a missing teen and it dropped into the 30's at night even though we're in the middle of summer, but I was toasty warm all night in my Zenbivy bag. I absolutely love it!!!

    Unique sleeping bag

I bought the Zenbivy 10, being in Canada, I paid an extra $250 in duties. Which wasn't expected considered the Zenbivy website only mentions significant duties associated with the Motobed. My first use of the sleeping bag + mattress was front country (car) camping. The weekend was very hot and being able to open the bag into a quilt was awesome and I was able to stay cooler than with a normal sleeping bag. My next camping trip was to an alpine hut in the backcountry. Since the hut has light mattresses, I was unable to use the Zenbivy bag because the quilt system needs to be clipped/zipped into the mattress and can't be used in isolation, so I was left using my old sleeping bag. If the zippers on each side of torso area of the quilt were reversed, then the quilt could be zipped into itself like a normal sleeping bag, making it even more adaptable to all situations. Overall, I would buy the Zenbivy system again because the materials are high quality and worth the money, but I was disappointed that the system is built to work together and couldn't be more flexible considering the price point.
