Included Repair Kit
Zenbivy mattresses come with a Repair Kit which includes a small tube of adhesive, 1 large repair patch, 2 smaller repair patches, and written instructions.
For Small Punctures
-
Step 1: Locate the leak
Inflate the mattress fully until it’s as firm as possible and close the valve. Submerge it in a tub with about 4–5 inches of water, working section by section if needed. Look closely for escaping air bubbles—they can be very small. Once you spot them, mark the leak with a small dot or circle using a marker.
If you don’t have access to a tub, you can wet the surface of the inflated mattress with water or soapy water, then look and listen for bubbles. When you find the leak, mark it the same way.
-
Step 2: Let the mattress dry
Use a towel to dry the mattress, then lay it out to let it air dry completely before moving on to the repair.
-
Step 3: Apply adhesive
Once the mattress is completely dry, fully deflate it. Apply a small dot of the included adhesive directly onto the puncture hole you marked.
Note for Flex™ 3D mattresses: If the hole is on the top surface in the woven Flex™ fabric, use the tip of the adhesive tube to push the glue down into the hole. This fabric is thick and stretchy, so it’s important the adhesive reaches deep into the puncture.
-
Step 4: Let the adhesive cure
Allow the adhesive to dry for at least two hours. Then inflate the mattress again and check the repair. For best results, let the inflated mattress sit for 24 hours. If it still feels firm then no air escaped and your repair was successful!
Optional: Once the adhesive is fully dry, you can cover the spot with a repair patch for extra protection and peace of mind.
For Large Cuts or Tears
-
Step 1: Prep the surface
Lay the mattress flat and make sure it is fully deflated. Clean the area around the tear.
-
Step 2: Apply the adhesive
Try to align the edges of the tear back together, then apply adhesive along the entire seam where the cut is located. You want to try to piece the edges back together, but be careful not to get glue on your hands.
-
Step 3: Apply a patch
After two hours, place a patch over the tear to reinforce the repair. Press down firmly
-
Step 4: Inflate and inspect
Inflate the mattress and examine the repair. Ideally, let the mattress sit inflated for 24 hours to ensure it’s holding air. If it still feels firm after 24 hours, your repair was successful!
