Why PrimaLoft®?

  • Superior Warmth-to-Weight

PrimaLoft® delivers one of the best commercially available warmth-to-weight ratios in synthetic insulation. When measured by standard thermal efficiency metrics (like CLO per unit weight), it outperforms most other premium synthetics we tested. What does this mean for you? More warmth for less weight in your pack.

  • Soft, Down-Like Feel

Unlike continuous-filament synthetics that can feel stiff, PrimaLoft® uses short-staple fibers that create a soft, down-like feel.

  • Highly Compressible & Packable

PrimaLoft®'s short, ultra-fine fibers compress exceptionally well and recover their loft reliably. This means your sleep system can pack down small without sacrificing performance.

  • Real-World Testing, Real Results

Across every synthetic we evaluated, PrimaLoft® consistently scored highest in the balance of thermal efficiency, softness, and packability. That’s why it’s our go-to choice for performance synthetic insulation in our sleep systems—no compromises, just dependable warmth.

Quilting Without Cold Spots

PrimaLoft® requires quilting lines that are closer together to maintain loft and long-term durability, which is one reason some brands avoid it. This construction is sometimes misunderstood as creating “cold spots,” but our design prevents that.

We use offset quilting, staggering the shell and liner stitch lines so there are no true sewn-through lines that would create cold spots. The result is consistent warmth that fully preserves PrimaLoft®’s performance.
