This week we lost legendary gear designer—and close friend—Jim Giblin.

Jim's bold creativity and unbridled passion were an inspiration to everyone around him. This resulted in uncommonly inspired designs, as well as uncommonly powerful friendships.

Jim is best known for designing the iconic MSR Hubba Hubba. A few years after that, after hearing Mike Glavin's vision for a gear company where "minimalism and comfort intersect", Jim was the the first to utter the words "zen bivy" to describe such a project.

Jim's influence runs deeply through Zenbivy. We aspire to maintain his level of passion and creativity in all that we do.
