First off, I use this in conjunction with Zenbivy’s pillowcase and would NOT recommend using it without. Now, on to my thoughts of their Pillow Air Bladder. The air bladder is very straightforward in use and fulfills its function very well. It’s incredibly light, which I appreciate. With the pillowcase it weighs 68 grams on my scale. The material has a good stretch to it and the internal baffle design allows it to hold its shape well when deflated to comfort preference. It is, however, an extremely thin material. I haven’t had an issue but I’m pretty gentle with it. This does play into a potential issue I can foresee though- the inflation valve is pretty hard to pop in and out which could easily cause some unintentional wear on it. Additionally, the valve does not have a quick dump function. You have to hold down the rubber gasket in the valve in order to deflate it. It works, but I think it could be a little better with a similar valve to the one in their pads that have a quick air dump function. Otherwise I’m perfectly happy with the air pillow. Overall, considering the weight combined with the comfort, it will always get squeezed into my 8 pound base weight.
