How a Zenbivy Bed Works

The Patented 2-Piece Design

At its core, a Zenbivy bed is a quilt and sheet. Our patented 2-piece design blocks drafts and eliminates constriction.

How It Works

  • Sealed at the Top

The sheet’s side panels create a draft shield that guides the quilt corners into the hood to block drafts around your shoulders.

    Sealed at the Sides

The quilt overlaps behind the side panels, backing them to keep the quilt tucked at your sides and seal out drafts, even when you move.

  • Free Everywhere Else

Because the quilt isn’t fixed in place, it moves naturally with you—so you can shift positions comfortably or pull it in close around you.

Kylie-Curve™

Most quilts use a drawstring across the full width, which pulls the sides up and lets cold air sneak in. Zenbivy’s baffle-backed Kylie-Curve™ solves this by cinching only the center, keeping the sides free to drape naturally or tuck into the hood—sealing out drafts at your shoulders.

Fast Footbox™

Unlike sewn footboxes that restrict your movement and do not vent, Zenbivy’s patent-pending Fast Footbox™ uses a single clip that allows it to expand for more space or narrow for more warmth.

Zipperless Convertible Footbox

Other quilts use bulky zippers and tapered shapes, limiting how much blanket you actually get when flat. Zenbivy’s patented zipperless convertible footbox keeps the quilt rectangular. Overlapping baffles seal in warmth, ensuring a completely draft-free footbox when closed.

Origami Baffle™

Unlike other convertible quilts that leave a gap at the cinched end, letting in cold air, Zenbivy convertible quilts feature a curved drawstring that forms a 2" Origami Baffle™, which rolls inside the quilt and snaps into place—sealing the footbox completely to block every draft.

Semi-Rectangular Design

Most quilts are cut in an hourglass shape, creating a tight pinch point that twists and tugs as you shift in the night. Zenbivy quilts are semi-rectangular and will never pinch or grab, so you can move freely.

Thermally-Mapped Baffles

Other quilts rely on long, continuous baffles that let down shift and clump. Zenbivy quilts use smaller, segmented baffles engineered for thermal efficiency—keeping insulation evenly distributed and warmth right where you need it.

Integrated Insulated Hood

Other quilts leave you exposed with no hood, or force you into awkward add-ons like a down balaclava. Zenbivy’s sheet solves this with a built-in hood that keeps your head—and even your arms—warm and protected.

Built-in Headboard Clips

You wouldn’t strap your pillow to your bed at home, yet that’s often the only option in the backcountry. Zenbivy’s sheet solves this with a built-in headboard and pillow loops, keeping your Zenbivy Pillow secure without restricting how you sleep.
