I took my ZenBivy on a recent camping trip, hoping to try out the system using the quilt as a blanket. When we got to our camping spot we found 6” of new snow and temps below freezing. Not to worry I zipped up and kept warm. Can’t wait for another chance to sleep under the quilt without zipping.
I bought this bag for my wife as she runs cold. She paired this with a good r value pad and loved it. Was able to twist and turn all night and had no bunching or loss of loft. She was warm all night.
Better options out there
Best ever! This bag will extend my camping season by several months here in northern Maine. As a 40-something mom of 5, that saying a lot! I no longer have a high tolerance for being uncomfortable, and this bed almost turns a tent into a hotel. It’s awesome! Thank you!
Still in the box its winter
Unlike mummy bags, there is no thermal disadvantage to a larger size Zenbivy Bed because it is always free to wrap snugly around you. So bigger is always more comfortable and just as warm. If you are an "active" sleeper or have a "wide" sleeping position, you may want to size up to sleep naturally. When in doubt, size up.
