Introducing the 2022 Light Quilt 10°! Head over to the Features tab to learn more about the new features we've added.
The versatile, minimalist design of a backpacking quilt makes it an ideal choice for anyone wanting to reduce the weight and bulk of their sleep system. The zipperless Zenbivy Light Quilt is lightweight and compact but prioritizes both comfort and adaptability. Between our super soft 20d fabric, convertible draft-free zipper-less foot box, carefully engineered baffle system, and pure semi-rectangular shape, we’re certain our Light Quilt is not only the most versatile quilt on the market but the most comfortable as well. Premium 800 fill-power HyperDRY™ down rounds out the package and delivers a final quilt that is weight competitive with much more expensive offerings while delivering on Zenbivy’s promise of maximum comfort. From tent to hammock, hostel to home, the Light Quilt’s got you covered.
The Light Quilt 10° is WARM. It’s built for colder sleepers and those pushing the boundaries of “3-season”. Add a Light Sheet 10° to create a complete Bed that allows you to fully clip in when temperatures drop.
Includes the Light Quilt and a large mesh bag for long-term storage.
NEW FEATURE! The Kylie-curve™ - The patent-pending drawstring along the top edge of the quilt naturally shapes an internal “dome” of space when cinched, providing ample shoulder room to move and twist freely while the extra baffle up top forms a comfortable, draft-free barrier. The placement of the drawstring cinches only the center, leaving either edge loose to tuck into the hood of the sheet for further restriction-free protection against drafts.
NEW FEATURE! Re-engineered Baffles - The re-engineered baffle system on the 2022 Light Quilt maximizes thermal efficiency. Smaller baffles position the down precisely where it’s needed and minimize down-shift. Vertical baffles around the upper body prevent down from sliding off shoulders while sleeping or turning over. The horizontal baffles on the top of the foot box keep down from shifting with foot movement, while vertical baffles on the underside of the foot box guard against any drafts.
Zipperless Versatility - The patented zipperless foot box design is every bit as secure as a zippered foot box, without the weight of zippers. It forms using a few simple hooks and loops, with a snap and a drawstring to easily regulate your sleep temperature. Sinch the bottom closed on cold nights, or loosen it to allow a cool draft or unhook it completely to use it flat like a blanket on warmer nights.
Purely Semi-Rectangular - The Light Quilt is purely semi-rectangular. This not only provides full coverage when used flat but completely eliminates the common hour-glassing pinch point issue that other quilts have when the foot box is formed. Rotate and move freely at night without the quilt grabbing and twisting around.
Quality Materials - We use premium 800 fill power HyperDRY™ fluorocarbon-free water-resistant down from Allied. This is the best down you can get. It is sourced according to the Responsible Down Standard and each quilt comes with a tag that allows you to track exactly where your down came from.
Unconventional Fabric - Most ultralight quilt makers shed weight by making their fabric a thin and clingy 10d. We opted to find clever ways to ditch ounces while keeping the fabric a very soft, comfy, and durable 20d. 20d fabrics are much softer than traditional ultralight technical fabrics while only being a fraction heavier.

Locate your height on the ruler below to see which size quilt and sheet/mattress we recommend for you. Ideally, you'll want to fall somewhere in the middle of the range. If you find yourself in the yellow, you'll probably want to size up for the most comfortable fit. Please note that the chart below is based on the average weight for each height. If you are an "active" or "wide" sleeper, you may want to consider sizing up to allow yourself more space to sleep naturally.
When in doubt, size up. Unlike mummy bags, there is no thermal disadvantage to a larger size Zenbivy Bed because it is always free to wrap snugly around you. Bigger is always more comfortable and just as warm. Questions? We're happy to help. Send us an email with your height, weight, and general sleep style and we'll help you find the right size for you.
Have the 10 degree light sleep system. I’m a side sleeper. Haven’t been able to sleep in a traditional mummy for years. Had been using my mummy as a quilt instead, but I inevitably would roll out of it. Finally found a sleep system that allows me to roll from side to side without losing my bag or losing heat. Only suggestion is to make the hood bigger for larger pillows. Thanks Zenbivy.
I have been using the Zenbivy bed 10 degree and the 25 degree and two light mattresses, for the last year (2021) while backpacking in different regions in Norway (homeland), and in different times of the year. Overall I find that it is a very good product that has delivered on the impression and information that I got from reviews and from dialogue the seller/inventor. Make sure you read alt the information about how to adjust the firmness of the mattress, and that you remember how to adjust the quilt for different “modes”. This is a crucial point. On the positive side; The level of comfort is high due to the ability to move around without being as confined as with a normal sleeping bag. However, in my experience, I often find myself laying on top of one of the edges, and have to pull parts of the quilt out to the side. So I wouldn’t say that one can move around completely freely without any trouble, but It offers a pretty good “movability”. I have used the products in a range from about -12 degrees Celsius (10 degrees Fahrenheit) to about 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit). Due to the many “modes” that the quilt can be adjusted to, It can be used in temperatures that are a lot higher than just in the vicinity of the temperature range that the quilt is rated for. In my experience, it can easily keep me warm at about -12 degrees Celsius if I fill a Nalgene bottle with boiling water and put it inside a thermo-sleeve and then place it between my knees, and also use down booties + wool underwear. Another positive feature is that the sheet keeps my backpacking pillow in place. Packability is also really good, as the down compresses nicely into a relatively small bag. The last positive thing I would like to point out, is that when the temperatures get low (-12 c), it’s possible to pull the hood of the sheet over your head and make a small opening between the quilt and the hood. This helps keep the wamth, but even better; you can breathe in warmer air than the outside temperatures without feeling like you are “rebreathing” old air. This leads to better protection against sore throats when camping in cold temperatures. This feature was unexpected and was incredibly useful for me. On the negative side: The light mattress is very slippery. The problem might be mitigated by adding some drops anti-slippery agents to the mattress. The light sheet is also very slippery so if you have a slight angle on the tent you might have to “replace” yourself through the night. This was very noticeable when my 3 yr old kept on sliding down into the quilt when he used his own Zenbivy. This is manageable if you use a strap around the bed in order to make it “shorter” and thereby more adapted to the kids height/length. All in all I am both impressed by the design and I am very happy with the product. I cannot see myself using any other product for most of the year. I hope that they will make a kids version soon, and also a bed that can be used in even lower temperatures. I would gladly recommend this to anyone that prefers to sleep on their stomach. PS: I have the XL quilts and 25x77 light mattresses.
Awesome. Very comfortable.
Warm - light - very small pack size - corresponds to what we where looking for
I purchased this quilt to replace my 15 degree mummy sleeping bag for a 6 night back country Elk hunt. BEST decision ever. The nights got down into the low 30s and I was never cold. I have to be honest, I looked forward to getting under the quilt every night. It is so incredibly comfortable. I am a side sleeper and dont like to have my arms trapped inside the mummy bags. This quilt allowed me to sleep with my arms up or down without being restricted. I sleep most nights on a cot, but also sleep 2 nights under the stars in my Eno hammock. The quilt was perfect for both. I most liked the ability for the quilt to cover me more like a sheet, than a bag. LOFT: This bag lofts up and gets very fluffy and maximizes heat retention. TOE BOX: This was one of the winners for me. Toe box is extremely roomy and soft. There is NO draft when cinched down with the draw cord and snaps. However, it can be left loose if you want to draft on warmer nights. I also bought this quilt along with the matching sheet, which increases the functionality of how to wrap this around you while sleeping. It adds capability to tie the toe box to the sheet for even more room, and allows you to add a fluffy down hood. I highly recommend this product.
