Hands down the most comfortable wilderness sleep system

Hands down the most comfortable wilderness sleep system. Zenbivy puts conventional sleeping bags to shame. I can't wait for a legitimately cold night to see if it's as comfy fully zipped at ten degrees as it is at 30. So far I love this system.

Perfect for wide range of temps

So far I've used this in 20 degree overnights (with an r4 pad) and 60 degree overnights and it was fantastic for both. I was fully synched in for the 20s and was totally comfortable. I went full quilt at some point in the 60 degrees and was still comfortable. (I probably wouldn't be able to comfortably use in overnights in the 70s/80s but I rarely camp in the middle of summer) I love that I can move around at night without waking up because it gives me room to to so. So much better than my mummy bag that makes me feel claustrophobic and was always both not warm enough and too warm. It was simple to synch/zip and unsynch/unzip in the middle of the night as needed. A standard size pillow fits in the top for car camping and it holds my backpacking pillow in place. It also is sooooo nice not to slide around on my pad anymore and just stay in one spot on the pad. Even compressed it does take up more space in my pack than my other bag, but as I get older I'm more willing to do so for a good night sleep. If I ever decide to go ultralight, I would now be a quilt convert. (32/female)

Just got back from my first two backpacking trips with this bag system and I LOVED it. Four nights in the Grand Canyon where it was relatively warm--not a problem. I left the feet area unzipped and it was not too hot under the quilt. Then three nights in a slot canyon where it was much colder and I used the bag more mummy-style and stayed cozy and warm there. I'm a fan.

Exactly what I was hoping for.

Not what I expected

I took my ZenBivy on a recent camping trip, hoping to try out the system using the quilt as a blanket. When we got to our camping spot we found 6” of new snow and temps below freezing. Not to worry I zipped up and kept warm. Can’t wait for another chance to sleep under the quilt without zipping.
