Locate your height on the ruler below to see which size quilt and sheet/mattress we recommend for you. Ideally, you'll want to fall somewhere in the middle of the range. If you find yourself in the yellow, you'll probably want to size up for the most comfortable fit. Please note that the chart below is based on the average weight for each height. If you are an "active" or "wide" sleeper, you may want to consider sizing up to allow yourself more space to sleep naturally.
When in doubt, size up. Unlike mummy bags, there is no thermal disadvantage to a larger size Zenbivy Bed because it is always free to wrap snugly around you. Bigger is always more comfortable and just as warm. Questions? We're happy to help. Send us an email with your height, weight, and general sleep style and we'll help you find the right size for you.
The zipperless design of the Light Quilt gives you the weight of a closed foot box quilt, with the full-flat functionality of a convertible quilt. Zenbivy’s buttery soft 20d fabrication sets this quilt apart from its more “purist” 10d competitors. It is the softest and most durable legitimately ultralight quilt out there.
The Light Quilt 40° has a 1d/3d polyester synthetic blend insulation that’s so soft you'll swear it's down. It’s just as light and packable as our 25° down quilt, but built for warmer nights and tighter budgets. Add a Zenbivy Light Sheet 40° to create a complete Bed for even more comfort options.
Includes the Light Quilt and a large mesh bag for long-term storage. Dry Sack and Compression Caps sold separately.
Quality Insulation - Built for warmer nights and tighter budgets, we've used a 1d/3d polyester synthetic blend that is as soft as it gets. It's the next best thing to down!
Zipperless Versatility - The patented zipperless foot box design is every bit as secure as a zippered foot box, without the weight of zippers. It forms using a few simple hooks and loops, with a snap and a drawstring to easily regulate your sleep temperature. Sinch the bottom closed on cold nights, or loosen it to allow a cool draft or unhook it completely to use it flat like a blanket on warmer nights.
Unconventional Fabric - Most ultralight quilt makers shed weight by making their fabric a thin and clingy 10d. We opted to find clever ways to ditch ounces while keeping the fabric a very soft, comfy, and durable 20d. 20d fabrics are much softer than traditional ultralight technical fabrics while only being a fraction heavier.

Purchased the full XL set up (quilt, mattress, sheet, dry bag/compression caps, and pillow) for a 8 day high adventure trip in the boundary waters of MN. Perfect for summer weather. Used as a quilt on the sheet. So superior to a sleeping mat and lightweight sleeping bag in terms of size, weight, and comfort. Dry bag was perfect as I was camping with teenagers and they swamped regularly. Gear has improved so much since I last high adventure camped in the 1970's. Easy to use and pack, took up minimal space, slept great. A couple suggestions, make a mattress/sheet that is one tube wider (I'm a big guy, side sleeper and kept rolling off when switching sides, put a small piece of velcro or a hook on the hood pocket (my headlamp kept going for a walk at night), and make a bigger pillow. Other than those things a great purchase and well worth the investment.
This quilt/topper will be perfect for use at home and with my Zenbivy bag when it's colder than the bag is good for.
Very happy with my purchase. This is the best system I have found for my sleeping style(back-and-forth side sleeping). The large size leaves ample room for insulation to drape over my shoulder without stretching and creating a cold spot, while simultaneously staying in place around me as I turn from side to side throughout the night. I bought the large lightweight synthetic version because of its closure options for warmer humid weather and ability to be easily laundered , and will use it as an outer quilt/bag with a down quilt inside for cold weather. I think the fabric is silky and luxurious and the insulation is light and has a nice draping a quality. I bought the deluxe pillow which I enjoy, But I thought it was a little expensive. My only problem so far, is that the Hook and Cord loop securing system seems very fragile. I have to be very careful with them and I have already torn one cord loop from the seam when rolling from side to side (The sides of the quilt get beneath me and when I turn to the quilt goes with me and it pulls on the cord loops).
Hi Gregory, thanks so much for your review. That cord loop pulling out is a sewing defect and definitely covered under warranty. We've sent you an email to discuss the repair options. Thanks again for supporting Zenbivy!
I bought a cold temperature original bed system with blanket, sheet, pad, pillow and caps, and love it. But I wanted to buy a warmer weather blanket with summer approaching. I bought this one due to the warmer weather rating. But, it doesn’t have the zippers to connect it to my original sheet. It’s just a blanket at this point unless I want to spend a bunch more money for a new sheet set-up...
Hi Andrew, So sorry for the misunderstanding! Our Light Quilts are part of our Light Bed which uses a series of hooks & loops to connect the quilt to the sheet. If you would like to return it for a refund, the return information can be found under the support tab in the menu bar. Thanks so much for supporting Zenbivy!
I really like the Zenbivy product. It kept me warm and was comfortable, and I was able to compress it to save space in my pack. HOWEVER, I took it out on a week long hiking adventure a few days after receiving it. One of the hoops at the bottom you latch to broke my second night, and it wasn't due to user error or aggressive use, the stitching simply broke or came undone, which is frustrating since it is brand new and wasn't exactly cheap.
Hello! This was certainly a sewing defect and therefore covered under warranty. We're glad you reached out to us so we could resolve it for you! Thank you so much for your understanding with this and for supporting Zenbivy.
