Quality of the bed is terrific with the black and red it is a great choice. Very impressed with size and weight ratio as I bought the compression bag it is a good pack down size too. I have my first trip in 1 week so that's it first test.
I've hated camping for a long time because of poor my sleep is. Traditional mummy sleeping bags were constricting, loud and impossible to toss/turn in. It only did one job well, keep me warm. Now zenbivy not only keeps me warm, it actually helps me sleep. It is so comfortable that it feels just as comfortable as my bed at home. Every single detail about the sleeping bed was thoughtfully designed by someone who clearly understands the pain of mummy sleeping bags. This sleeping bed gets a 11 out of 10 for me!
I was fortunate enough to be gifted this bag. The unique construction of the bag from a moment to get used to, especially right out of the box. However, it's warm and roomy, as advertised. It well make a nice shoulder season bag for sure.
So far...so good!!! Although I have only gotten to spend 2 nights in my Zenbivy Light 25 degree bed, I am very happy with my purchase. I am 5'9" and weigh 180lbs, but I opted to purchase the size XL bed in order to accommodate the Klymit Static V LUXE sleeping pad that I already owned. The sheet fit the pad perfectly and I really like all the extra wiggle room that having an XL quilt gave me. I have always felt so claustrophobic in every other sleeping bag, so the freedom of movement, ability to readjust without having to fight zippers, and being able to pull the quilt up and around my shoulders & face just adds to snuggle-ability factor. I also like the idea of a "pillow pocket"...no more chasing my pillow around the tent all night. I am super happy to finally have a bag I can sleep comfortably in all night, just like I do in my bed at home. Thank you Zenbivy for creating such an awesome sleep system - I am looking so forward to testing it out again on our extended backpacking trips into the Wind River Range this summer!!
I received my zenbivy fairly quickly and unpacking it I can tell the materials used are good quality. Getting the unit to Toronto meant the cost went up to $519.00, so for this amount I have high expectations for this item. I tested the bed using one of my many existing mattresses and the fit was reasonable with a couple of them. The feel of the materials is great, no cheap slide-off at night, thinner than paper stuff here. What I was disappointed with are the zippers. I have had trouble with them sticking on every use, and due to the zippers and lack of tie points it is less suited to use as a stand alone quilt. For this money I expect zippers that work every time. Overall this is a great product. Having been a user of Rumpl and other camp blankets for years as part of my backpacking set up i am happy that someone has taken the quilt market to the next level. I have a 10 day wilderness hike through Canadian mountains coming soon, this unit will be well tested by then :) I think what I needed was the light-quilt item, but this is a welcome addition to my gear. Thanks !
