Locate your height on the ruler below to see which size quilt and sheet/mattress we recommend for you. Ideally, you'll want to fall somewhere in the middle of the range. If you find yourself in the yellow, you'll probably want to size up for the most comfortable fit. Please note that the chart below is based on the average weight for each height. Also note that if you are an "active" or "wide" sleeper, you may want to consider sizing up to allow yourself more space to sleep naturally.
When in doubt, size up. Unlike mummy bags, there is no thermal disadvantage to a larger size Zenbivy Bed because it is always free to wrap snugly around you. Bigger is always more comfortable and just as warm. Questions? We're happy to help. Send us an email with your height, weight, and general sleep style and we'll help you find the right size for you.
With a sheet below you and a quilt above, the Zenbivy Bed is built just like your bed at home. The patented 2-piece design allows for the most comfortable and natural night’s sleep in the backcountry. Unlike the constriction of a traditional mummy bag, enjoy the spacious freedom to sleep in any position you want, in the widest range of temperatures. The Zenbivy Bed's versatility and adaptability are simply unmatched.
The Zenbivy Bed 10º is perfect for colder sleepers or anyone pushing the limits of “3-season”. These beds are WARM! If you are looking for maximum comfort and warmth in your backcountry sleep system, look no further than the Zenbivy Bed 10º.
Includes the fitted sheet, convertible top quilt, and large mesh bag for long-term storage. (Mattress, pillow, and dry sack sold separately).
Purely Semi-Rectangular Quilt - The Zenbivy Bed quilt is purely semi-rectangular. This not only provides full coverage when used flat but this new design completely eliminates the common hour-glassing pinch point issue that other quilts have when the foot box is formed. Rotate and move freely at night without the quilt grabbing and twisting around.
The Kylie-curve™ - The Kylie-curve™ is a 3/4-length baffle-backed drawstring along the top of the quilt. The shortened drawstring length cinches only the center portion, so it softly seals around your neck but leaves the edges loose to either drape at your sides or tuck up into the sheet’s hood to block drafts.
Roomy, Integrated Hood - The wide rectangular hood provides extra space and restriction-free warmth around the head and arms for all sleep positions. The new width of the integrated hood makes better use of rectangular mattresses and keeps the pillow from wandering away in the middle of the night.
Thermally Mapped Baffles - We designed our quilts to maximize thermal efficiency, distributing down to provide the most warmth where it’s needed. Smaller baffles minimize down-shift, vertical baffles around the upper body prevent down from sliding, and horizontal baffles on the top of the foot box keep down from shifting with foot movement.
Quality Materials - Zenbivy Beds are filled with premium 700 fill-power HyperDRY™ down. This down uses a natural wax-based compound to make it water resistant. It is durable, fluorocarbon-free, and RDS (Responsible Down Standard) compliant.
Unconventional Lining - Our legendary Pongee fabric is both durable and soft, but most importantly, it has a similar feel to a sheet you would use at home. Bring a familiar kind of can’t-beat-it comfort to camp!
Freedom To Move - Never slide off your mattress again. When the top quilt is zipped to the "wings" of the fitted sheet, the Zenbivy Bed is instantly free to get wider when and where you need it to. Then just as instantly, it "settles" to wrap snugly around you. Goodbye constrictive, twisted sleeping bags...
Convertible Foot Box - The convertible foot box allows you to easily regulate your sleeping temperature. On a cold night, zip and cinch it completely shut to keep your feet toasty warm. Mild evening? Leave the bottom open to allow a cool draft. When it's warm out, simply unzip the foot box and use the quilt as a blanket.

Our patented 2-piece sleeping bag is built just like your bed at home with a sheet below you and a quilt above. Even when fully zipped in, the quilt "floats" above you, letting you sleep in any position and giving you the freedom to move without feeling constricted.
Sleeping hot? Easily kick your arms and legs out or "throw the covers off" to get quick, cooling relief. Cold night? Thermally Mapped Baffles
The baffles are perfectly engineered to maximize thermal efficiency. Smaller baffles position the down precisely where it’s needed and minimize down-shift. Vertical baffles around your upper body prevent down from sliding off your shoulders. Smaller horizontal baffles on the foot box keep down from shifting with foot movement.
The Kylie-curve™ is a 3/4-length baffle-backed drawstring along the top of the quilt. The shortened drawstring length cinches only the center portion, so it softly seals around your neck but leaves the edges loose to either drape at your sides or tuck up into the sheet’s hood to block drafts.
A purely semi-rectangular quilt not only provides full coverage when used flat but also eliminates the common hour-glassing pinch point issue that other backcountry quilts have when the foot box is formed. Rotate and move freely at night without the quilt "grabbing" you and twisting.

I really love this sleep system. I recently took it out with me on a work assignment and it worked so well. The sleeping bags we get issued always make me feel so claustrophobic and when I use a sleeping bag liner I get all tangled and everything moves all over and I slide off my sleeping pad. Zenbivy solved all of this for me. I had such a good sleep, and in my line of work, that is so important. It took up the same space as my old sleeping bag. My only worry on wear and tear is the straps and fabric that the keeps the sheet and system onto the sleeping pad. If it rains and my tent gets wet underneath it can soak into the sheet and when stored it will make the rest if the bag wet. And I think over time the strap and sheet portion underneath the pad will start to wear.
Maybe if the fabric that goes under the pad was made of something sturdier and waterproof I would feel better about it. I've got a homemade footprint that I can lay out in my tent under the sleeping pad and bag so hopefully that can help avoid any dampness getting into the bag or sheet.
Other than this, the system does well. I wasn't cold, I wasn't tangled, and I was very comfortable.
I have the original Zenbivy that I bought when it first released and it has never kept me warm. I gave it another chance this past summer. I had to wake up and put warm clothes on because it was 58 and I was cold. It has never lofted properly and when measured only lofts a half inch. I suspect this to be the problem. A lot of money wasted for a supposed 23 degree bag.
Sorry to hear this! What mattress (R-value) are you using with your 2018 Zenbivy Bed 23°? Please note that bags need to be paired with an R5 mattress to perform to their EN rating as that's what they are tested with.
I'm also wondering if maybe your 2018 bag was underfilled... At 58° you should not have been cold, even with a lower R-value mat. You can weigh the quilt and sheet together and then let us know. Email email@example.com. We'll get you taken care of!
Thanks so much,
My Search and Rescue team went to Truckee to look for a missing teen and it dropped into the 30's at night even though we're in the middle of summer, but I was toasty warm all night in my Zenbivy bag. I absolutely love it!!!
I bought the Zenbivy 10, being in Canada, I paid an extra $250 in duties. Which wasn't expected considered the Zenbivy website only mentions significant duties associated with the Motobed. My first use of the sleeping bag + mattress was front country (car) camping. The weekend was very hot and being able to open the bag into a quilt was awesome and I was able to stay cooler than with a normal sleeping bag. My next camping trip was to an alpine hut in the backcountry. Since the hut has light mattresses, I was unable to use the Zenbivy bag because the quilt system needs to be clipped/zipped into the mattress and can't be used in isolation, so I was left using my old sleeping bag. If the zippers on each side of torso area of the quilt were reversed, then the quilt could be zipped into itself like a normal sleeping bag, making it even more adaptable to all situations. Overall, I would buy the Zenbivy system again because the materials are high quality and worth the money, but I was disappointed that the system is built to work together and couldn't be more flexible considering the price point.
